Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director, most well-known as the main character of Birdman. A versatile actor, he has the ability to play comedy and dramatic parts. His professional career has seen him play a variety of romantic characters, and also in action thrillers. His passion for the performing arts started when he was in his teen years. He attempted stand-up comedy during his 20s. Even though his stand-up act was not successful it helped to open the way for his acting. To be successful in the field of comedy and performer, he was hired working as a cameraman for a local cable television station. He realized his real passion was in front the camera as he worked at the station. The TV role was agreed to and he appeared in several episodes Mister Rogers Neighborhood. An actor with natural talent, he gained popularity quickly on television. He launched a film career with great ambitions and found considerable fame with his comedic roles. The accolades grew when he portrayed Batman's eponymous superhero from Tim Burton's Batman. As time passed the actor's acting abilities developed and he was able exploring the possibility of directing and production. The performance he made in the 2014 film Birdman brought him nominations and awards.
